We’ve all heard it before…starting with our mothers when we were children… EAT YOUR BREAKFAST!  But is it  really that important? The answer undoubtedly is YES!  Breakfast gives us much needed energy to start our day off right.  According to webmd.com, studies show that eating a HEALTHY breakfast can give you: 1) A more nutritionally complete diet, higher in nutrients, vitamins and minerals 2) Improved concentration 3) More strength and endurance to engage in physical activity (extremely important if you have vigorous morning workouts) 4) Lower cholesterol levels It also tends to reduce hunger throughout the day, thus helping us make better and healthier choices on the foods we consume and in turn, helping us to have better weight control.  Think you’re saving calories by skipping breakfast?  Think again, because typically you are so hungry by lunchtime that you overeat.  And many times we don’t make the best choices when we’re starving. Allow yourself a few extra minutes in the morning to grab a healthy breakfast and you’ll be off to a great start!
